In the summer of 2016, KraussMaffei Extrusion gave 25,000 euros to support a joint project between the state capital of Hanover and Jugendwerkstatt Süd, which provides vocational training for youth. In order to raise this sum, KraussMaffei Extrusion canceled a planned company meeting and donated the organizational and loss of production costs that were saved as a result. The project "Career orientation in food production and food service for refugees and asylum seekers" opens up professional prospects for refugees and asylum seekers and introduces them to the job market requirements in the areas of food production and food service. With this project, KraussMaffei Extrusion took action on the recent issue of refugees and was able to contribute to integration.
